Meals On Wheels
Hot Meals:
Delivered Monday, Wednesday & Friday between 11:45am-12:30pm. Meals are not delivered on statutory holidays.
- Nutritious meals are delivered by volunteers to individuals who need assistance with their nutritional needs
- Each meal contains a protein, starch, vegetables, dessert and a drink for $10.00
- Deliveries can be arranged for one or multiple days with the option of multiple meals each day
- Meals are tailored to meet special diets, allergies and personal preferences
- Special therapeutic diets and texture modifications are available
- Three week menu cycle rotation
- Billed monthly
- Hot meals are prepared by the dietary staff at West Perth Village
- Peace of mind for families as agency follows up with client absence
Frozen Meals
Apetito frozen meals are also available to supplement hot meals or as an alternative. These are great to store in the freezer for future use. Check out the Apetito Website for more information on their products.
Ordering Meals
Meal Requests
To request a meal you must call the Outreach Office at 519-348-9765, at a minimum, before 9:30 am on the date of the delivery. You are not able to make same day requests after this time.
Meal Cancellations
To request a meal you must call the Outreach Office before 9:30 am on the date of the delivery. Any meals that are not cancelled by this time will be charged, even if it is returned. If you decide you no longer need the service and cancel before 9:30am there is no charge and you will be reimbursed in full for any meals that you had prepaid.
Meal Costs
Meal costs change on a regular basis due to fluctuations in the cost of preparing them. For more information on the costs please Contact Us.

Social & Congregate Dining
Social & Congregate Dining programs promote health and wellness through a variety of activities.
Programs include, but not limited to:
Euchrama, Cards & Games, Sing-a-Long, Shopping Trips, Brunch n’ Bunch, Dining for Seniors, Manor/TRP Dinner, Play Trips, & Special Outings.

Congregate Dining
Brunch n’ Bunch
- Grab your friends and come for some brunch
- $10.00/person
- 3rd Tuesday/month @ 10:30am in the Manor Lounge
- Must pre-register (RSVP) by deadline date to attend
Dining for Seniors
- Door-to-door dining program
- $14.00/person
- 3rd Thursday/month @ 11:30am
- Must pre-register (RSVP) by deadline date to attend
Manor/TRP Dinner
- Residents at the Ritz Manor and Thames River Place enjoy a delicious catered meal with their neighbours
- $14.00/person
- 2nd Thursday/month
- Must pre-register (RSVP) by deadline date to attend
Euchrama
- Enjoy playing 18 games throughout the day with a lunch break halfway through
- Prizes are awarded for highest score and most lone hands
- $10.00/person (includes lunch)
- 1st Thursday/month @ 10:00am-3:00pm at the Mitchell Community Centre

Grocery Assistance
Groceries are ordered by the client by calling Walkom’s Valumart (519-348-8446) and requesting items. Volunteers pickup and deliver groceries to the client’s home. Groceries and delivery fee is paid directly to Valumart when ordering groceries.
Orders must be placed by 3:30PM on the Monday to receive groceries on the following Tuesday.
